Detailed Guide & FAQ
How to Use the Calculator
Step 1: Configure Your Luck
In the 'Luck Configuration' panel, enter all your current luck buffs. You can use 'Quick Presets' to apply common setups with one click, or manually input your basic buffs, special buffs (like potions), VIP bonuses, etc. The total luck value is updated in real-time to help you verify your input.
Step 2: Select Your Target Aura
In the 'Aura Selection' panel, choose the Aura you want to calculate from the dropdown list. If you want to calculate for a non-existent or special Aura, enable the 'Use Custom Aura' switch and manually enter its base rarity.
Step 3: Interpret the Results
The results panel shows all key data: 'Single Attempt Probability' tells you the success rate for each roll; 'Cumulative Probability' shows the chance of succeeding at least once after a specified number of attempts; 'Required Attempts' estimates how many rolls you need to reach a 50% success expectancy. Use this data to manage your time and resources wisely.
Core Mechanics Explained
What is 'Luck'?
In Sol's RNG, 'Luck' is a core stat that directly impacts your chances of obtaining rare Auras. The higher your luck, the greater your base probability of rolling a rare Aura. This calculator has the official luck formula built-in.
How does 'Rarity' work?
Each Aura has a 'Base Rarity', expressed as '1 in X'. This means that with no luck buffs, it will appear, on average, once every X rolls. Your luck stat effectively reduces this 'X' value, making it easier to obtain.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: Why is my maximum probability capped at 50%?
A: This is a hard cap built into the Sol's RNG game itself. No matter how high your luck is, the probability of rolling any single Aura cannot exceed 50%. Our calculator strictly adheres to this rule.
Q: Are the calculation results 100% accurate?
A: Our calculations are based on the game's formulas from the latest version, striving for 100% accuracy. However, please note that game developers may adjust formulas in future updates. We continuously monitor and update the calculator to stay in sync.
Q: What's the difference between 'Special Buffs' and 'Bonus Multiplier'?
A: 'Special Buffs' (like potions) are added directly to your base luck. The 'Bonus Multiplier' (like the Gravitational Device) is then applied to the sum of your base and special buffs. Note that, as per the game's mechanics, the 'Special Buffs' themselves are not multiplied by the 'Bonus Multiplier'.
